*NEWS: Design Company Acquires Branding Strategy Agency

Dalip Jaggi, founder, Devise Interactive

A software development and design company with an office in Irvine has acquired an award-winning brand strategy agency with the goal of gaining entree into more food and restaurant accounts.

Vincit California acquired Devise Interactive, which has done design work for clients including Tapatio Hot Sauce, Creamistry and Dacik Fit Foods. Devise was founded in 2013 and maintains its HQ in Irvine.

“Orange County is a well-known hub for many leading food and restaurant brands,” Vincit California CEO Ville Houttu said. “With Devise Interactive, we have even stronger expertise to serve these industries.”

This acquisition follows in the footsteps of Vincit California’s acquisition of digital marketing agency Xtopoly last year.

“This merger shows the strength of the tech entrepreneurship community in OC, which has grown in activity, vibrancy, and mind-share,” said Naushad Huda, who founded Xtopoly and is now Vincit California’s director of strategy & partnerships.

With Devise Interactive, Vincit California adds a brand-focused, engineering studio with expertise in UI/UX and software development to its portfolio.

“With this merger, expect we’ll make room for future inventions powered by Vincit’s technical caliber,” Devise Founder Dalip Jaggi said.

Vincit, with HQ in Finland, also has a California office in Palo Alto. It employs more than 400 professionals around the world.
